Information Design • Interaction Design • Information Architecture
My name is Zaira Kulsariyeva. I am an Information designer, Interface designer and Information architect/analyst. I work under alias 802.11.
I’m 26 year old. I was born in Moscow, raised in Kazakhstan, now I live in Prague, Czech Republic.
I have a degree of Bachelor in Psychology of Kazakh State University and a Higher National Diploma in Interactive Media Design of Prague College of IT, Design and Business. In my work I have to combine knowledge and experience in both Human Cognitive Sciences and Design. I know how two sides of the interface border work while one side is a communicator (system: interface, design, content), the other side being a user.
I work as a freelance designer for five last years. Occasionally I work for big and not-so-big companies for full-time to solve certain problems or maintain certain projects. I like both working on my own, as I am pretty good with my time-management and generally with project management, and in the office as I definitely enjoy social surrounding. My choice of the work style depends more on the project frameworks than on my own preferences.
When building a system I start with defining it’s function and information architecture using general knowledge of human cognition, behavior and perception laws. Then I prototype the interface using existing guidelines of usability and user-centered design. And then I adopt styling. Sometimes styling ideas come in first two phases, as form depends on the function.
Joint together, these parts work as an organism, a holistic system that is consistent in every point and functions perfectly.
I believe that function defines the form. I believe in minimalism: what is not necessary, is not necessary. I also believe in achievable perfection.
If you have a story to be communicated, a problem to be explained, a structure to be organized or a system to be designed, contact me at zee@80211.cc and I will be happy to work with you for the magnificent result.
